A non-government organization is a non-profit society whose duties are to contribute to social activities for the private sector. Funding comes from various sources including government or private donors.
Amongst all the trillions of software packages there are several related to NGO Accounting. These types of organizations don’t run without employees, and just as any other business software is needed to properly control different aspects of the specific organization. Non Governmental Organizations are no different in that respect. There is however, a difference in the type of software required to run such an organization.
Rarely do you find the antiquated way of accounting practices. The man leaning closely to his books, quill pen in hand about to enter the daily takings. Tracking expenses, salaries, utilities everything related to the financial side has to be recorded and available on hand at the request of the donor. Accurate up dated records of grants, donations and fund-raising input are imperative with such an organization.
